STEM NOW PROJECT

The STEM NOW Project was a partnership between Innovera for Educational Technology and Discovery Education aimed at creating a lasting STEM culture in egyptian public schools. The program helped teachers and principals embed 21st century skills; collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity to foster STEM learning. The program key outcome to introduce a multidiscplinary learning and teaching model for improved learning outcomes. 

 

Two-Year Program: A two-year professional development program that enrolled educators and school leaders in longitudinal workshops spread across the academic year accompanied by mentoring visits inside classrooms.

 

Professional Development:

Teachers completed 8 modules, while principals completed 6, focused on leading classrooms of real-world problem-solving and critical thinking.

Mentors provided support through school visits and mentoring clinics.

 

Certification: Schools that completed the program were certified as STEM Excellence Centers.

 

Our Role: 

Project Management: Led and coordinated all aspects of the project, ensuring smooth execution.

Educator Recruitment: Managed the selection of educators and principals for the program.

Workshop Planning & Execution: Organized and conducted professional development workshops tailored to participants’ needs.

Event & Logistics Management: Oversaw the logistics for workshop events to ensure a seamless experience.

Monitoring & Evaluation: Contributed to tracking project progress and measuring impact.

School Mentoring Visits: Provided ongoing support through regular school visits.

Reporting: Delivered comprehensive reports to Discovery Education, maintaining transparency and accountability.

 

Achievements:

600 teachers and 200 principals from 200 schools participated.

Schools were recognized as STEM Excellence Centers for neighboring schools.
